- Small Size: Because XML is text based, a very high compression rate is possible and much more efficient than traditional raster image format. For example, a 128kb map in PNG file is around 1.5-4k in SVG, and only 200-600 bytes in SVG Binary compressed format. This dramatically speeds access and reduces cost.
- Data Driven: Because graphics and voice are data in our architecture, users can integrate server side business processes directly to client side multimedia content. In addition multimedia content can be indexable and more accurate search results can be provided.
- Open Standard: By supporting XML Schema, service and content providers can define their own extension without changing basic profile.
